This highly original 1969 Porsche 911T was completed on 7/11/69 and finished in Sand Beige with a black leather interior. Additional options on the order included 5-speed transmission, Koni shock absorbers, Stabilizers Front and Rear, 15 x 6 Light Metal Wheels with 185/70 VR 15 tires, Leather Steering Wheel, Bumperettes Front and Rear, Antenna - Left, Loudspeaker in Dashboard and Dunlop Tires. The Certificate of Authenticity on hand lists the original engine number as 6197110 and transmission as 7198281, both of which remain in the car today.
Little is known of the early history of this car, but we have record that it was owned by a long time member of the Porsche Club America in the Potomac region. In any event, it is clear this car has been very well looked after for its entire life and certainly never regularly exposed to the outside elements. The exterior paintwork has been redone to a high standard and is free of any major scratches or blemishes. The glass is in very good shape as is all exterior brightwork and rubber. The Fuchs alloy wheels have been correctly refinished and are wearing brand new Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires in the correct size, 185/70-15. The interior has had new carpets and the seats were re-trimmed at one point, but the rest appears original and in very good condition for being so. The front compartment is all original including the carpet and paint finishes. This area is shockingly good and free of the usual rust found in Porsches of this age. The spare wheel is a matching Fuchs with an older Michelin tire. Also tucked away are an original tool kit, original jack and dual Interstate batteries. The engine compartment and undercarriage are the same - clean and tidy with finishes that have never been restored. We wish they were all this good.
After being purchased by European Collectibles, we performed an oil service, adjusted the carburetors, installed a new fuel filter, installed new brake rotors and pads all the way around and flushed the brake fluid. The road tests that followed the service work and tire installation were trouble free and the car performed beautifully. There is something special about how good a car that has never been damaged, rusted and repaired, or fully restored feels on the road.
