1973 Porsche 911E 2.4L Coupe
This a documented 22k mile 1973 Porsche 911E Coupe, Metallic Green over a Green (order to sample) leather interior, represents the last of the original F-Body 911s. More upscale than the T, with a power curve less peaky than the S, the E provided luxury and acceleration that bested the T and the S from 0-70 MPH. A recent bare metal restoration (images upon request) by European Collectibles restoration experts revealed original, rust free/accident free panels and undercarriage. The engine and transmission were environmentally cleaned through high-tech dry ice blasting. The air conditioning system, an $800 factory option, was thoroughly checked and serviced and is fully operational. With an original MSRP of nearly $11,500, this two-owner 911E has $2,000 of factory options including Option Code G03.
Refinished in its original factory hue, the exterior color is one, “…most people have never seen in person. It (Metallic Green) is a bright, semi-jewel tone of green that isn't far off the color of an emerald.” Its gorgeous exterior is complemented by optional 15” polished Fuchs wheels with Pirelli 185 70 15 CN 36 tires, chrome rocker panels, chrome headlight rings, flag driver side rearview mirror, front S bumper with integrated spoiler, black-trimmed horn grills and turn signal trim, larger chrome/rubber bumper guards, both front and rear, and a single exhaust exiting below the left rear bumper.
The original interior of this 911E includes special order green leather with factory Recaro Sport Seats, 911S-style dash trim done in green, ineritia-reel (retractable) seat belts, pull-out door pockets, AM/FM radio, tinted windshield, heated rear window, and fully-functional factory air conditioning.
The air-cooled, 2.4 liter flat-six engine features Bosch mechanical fuel injection (MFI), producing up to 165 HP at 6200 RPM. Coupled with the 5-speed manual (Type 915) transmission, the 911E is capable of a top speed exceeding 130 MPH. Koni shocks and front and rear stabilizer bars provide superior road handling.
The sale of this 1973 Porsche 911E Coupe, located in California, will include a clear title, owners manual, original window sticker, original purchase invoice, full-size spare tire, toolkit, jack, and four decades of service records.
